Stu will try and arrange something in March / April 2011 prior to next years Euros.

FINAL DAY TO FORGE THE BAFACL RULES FOR NEXT SEASON - 3rd October 2010
Following the conclusion of the regular season the CLOC announced the intention to form
a Rules Review Board for the purpose of reviewing the entire BAFACL rulebook ready for
a re-launch ahead of the 2011 BAFACL Season.
So far, the CLOC have four confirmed volunteers for this group, and are still seeking
additional persons who feel that they would like to be involved in a revamp of the
rules that you play and coach by.
The CLOC are keen to get this review started soon to ensure there is plenty of time for
a review to be completed prior to next season.
The deadline for volunteers to register an interest is this Sunday.
The following week, the CLOC will contact the group to outline the remit of the rule review.
Anyone who may be interested in participating in the review should contact the CLOC mailbox.

FUTURE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL FLAG EVENTS
National Coach Mark Fletcher has written to each Senior Flag Club and
last years squad members, to inform them of the recent developments
regarding National and International events.
Please take a note of all the crucial dates for players wishing to participate
in the Chieftains and GB Lions Senior Flag Squads and pass them on to
other interested players.
Home Nations
BAFA have finally acknowledged proposals for a Home Nations Competition for 2010.
Mark is Head Coach of the Chieftains and has confirmed his intention to
attend the 2010 Home Nations.
The date of the event is to be held over the weekend (30th / 31st October 2010).
This is the same weekend of the NFL game at Wembley Stadium (Broncos @ 49ers).
It is the intention of those organising the Home Nations to try and tie the event
in with the London Event for maximum exposure for our sport.
Further details will be released in due course.
This will also be a great opportunity for the GB Coaches to attend and assess
player abilities in preparation for the European Championships in September 2011.
With this in mind it is Coach Fletchers intention to hold player trials on
2nd or 3rd October, followed by Training Camp on 16th or 17th October.
Venue for these events to be confirmed. (likely to be Inchyra or Westfield).
As current squad members Jimmy Thomson and Dave Mooney Snr have been invited back to
the trials along with Neil Arnold, Paul Arnold, Stevie Bramwell, Colin Jones,
Jamie Doak, Gregor Beattie, Neil Docherty, Alan Bell, Andrew Chapman, Kenny Reid,
Richie Moore, Stuart Harrison and Mike Scott.
Coach Fletcher now invites all other eligible players to attend the initial trials
on the above weekend and ask that Club Managers and Coaches pass this
information on to their players.
GB Lions Senior Flag
It is envisaged that the GB Lions Senior Flag will be attending the above Home Nations weekend.
It is hoped that Team Ireland will make it across for an International friendly.
The squad players for this fixture will be made up of those players who managed
to attend the last GB Camp in Doncaster.
Please note that GB players from the Belfast squad are still part of the squad and
will be considered for selection for the Euros, through regular attendance of the
upcoming GB Camps and of course their performances.
Coaches hope to hold a GB Camp during this weekend.
The coaches managed to see a lot of new talent at the last camp and wish to see
them perform in a competitive environment.
As the GB Lions Development Squad grows, competition for the vital 12 places in
the 1st team will increase.
It is therefore vitally important that players are seen by the Coaches as part of
the Chieftains team to demonstrate their current fitness levels and playing abilities.
As this weekend is being organised to coincide with the Wembley game all activities
and venues will be arranged to allow ease of attendance of the 49ers v Broncos game.
