HAVE THE BRONCOS WON TEN THOUSAND TESCO SPORTS VOUCHERS ? - 29th October 2006
Tesco gave 100 people the opportunity to win 10,000 Vouchers for the Broncos.
Competition was open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over.
No purchase was necessary.
Only one entry per person.
All entries had to be in by 22nd September 2006.
The draw was made on the 29th September and the first 100 entries drawn at random notified
by post by 29th October.

CAN SCOTLAND MAKE IT THREE-IN-A-ROW ? - 29th October 2006
Scotland Kitted Try-outs will be held this Sunday.
Venue ... Forthbank, Stirling.
Time ... 10am until 2pm.
Players must be BYAFA registered and, if under-18, have a completed parental consent form.
Anyone interested in helping or with any questions should contact Jim Burns.

SDS ANNOUNCE SQUADS TO FACE TEAM IRELAND IN NOVEMBER - 26th October 2006
On Sunday the 5th November, Team Scotland will face Team Ireland in the Celtic Bowl at ...

Fraser Thomson (Cadet A), Paul Menzies (Cadet A), Daniel Yuill (Cadet A), Callum Finlay (Cadet A),
Kevin Woods (Cadet B), Callum Woods (Junior A), Scott Halbert (Junior A), Martyn Paterson (Junior A),
Daniel Ward (Junior A), Kevin Simpson (Junior B) and David Ewing (Youth B).

VENUE ANNOUNCED FOR MVP BOWL - 25th October 2006
The 2006 MVP Bowl will be played at St. Margaret's High School in Airdrie (Saturday 25th November).
All players, coaches and referees are asked to arrive before 10:30am to allow for registration and
pre-game preparations. Kick-Off is scheduled for 11am.
Running Order ... Cadets (11am), Juniors (12:15pm) and Youths (1:30pm).
Games should finish around 2:30pm.
Eight Broncos have been invited to take part ...
West/Central Cadet Squad - Fraser Thomson, Daniel Yuill and Paul Menzies.
West/Central Junior Squad - Scott Halbert, Martyn Paterson and Daniel Ward.
North/East Youth Squad - Jonathan Ewing and Jamie Laird.
Also as SFFA Junior Coach of the Year, Jonathan Ewing will be invited to take charge of
the West/Central Junior Squad.

BRONCOS TRAVEL FOR MORE SDS TRAINING - 21st October 2006
Another SDS training session took place on Saturday at Forthbank, Stirling.
Many of the Broncos players will be practicing with the Scotland Squad,
looking to impress the SDS Coaches enough to get picked for the Scotland v Ireland match-up.
There was no Broncos Training this weekend.

BRONCO SENIORS UNABLE TO STOP THE BULLS FOUR-IN-A-ROW - 14th October 2006
The 2006 Seniors Finals Day was held on Saturday @ St Margarets High Sports Centre, Airdrie.
The following SFFA Teams made it to the Event ...
Kirkcaldy Bulls, Grangemouth Broncos, Glasgow Hornets and Carluke Cobras.
Registration was from 9:30am.
The first game was scheduled to kick-off around 10:15am ... the Bulls beating the Cobras.
In the second game the Broncos just managed to defeat the unlucky Hornets.
The tight 3rd/4th Play-Off game was won eventually by the Cobras ...
whilst in the SFFA Final the Broncos ran the Bulls close but not close enough ...
unable to prevent the Kirkcaldy side retaining the SFFA silverware for the fourth consecutive year.
Well done to the Kirkcaldy Bulls !

EIGHT BRONCOS TO FILL PLACES AT SFFA MVP BOWL 2006
The MVP nominations given on the Referees' Match Report Forms have been counted and
eight Broncos have been invited to take part in these 'Pro Bowl' style matches in November.
West/Central Cadet Squad - Fraser Thomson, Daniel Yuill and Paul Menzies.
West/Central Junior Squad - Scott Halbert, Martyn Paterson and Daniel Ward.
North/East Youth Squad - Jonathan Ewing and Jamie Laird.
Also as SFFA Junior Coach of the Year, Jonathan Ewing will be invited to take charge of
the West/Central Junior Squad.
There are also four categories of player awards ...
Cadet MVP, Junior MVP, Youth MVP and Senior MVP ... which will be announced at the MVP Bowl.

BYAFA ... SCOTLAND SCHEDULED TO HOST THEIR FIRST FESTIVAL OF FOOTBALL
Plans are very nearly complete for the inaugural Scottish Festival of Football, scheduled for early October
and likely to be held in Glasgow. This is causing a great deal of interest with some of the English teams
who see this as an ideal opportunity to have a weekend away and play against different opposition.
There will be a flag tournament in conjunction of the SFFA and BYAFA hopes to make this the most
successful day of Football ever seen.

Help the Broncos get even more kids active again this year by passing on your Tesco Sports Vouchers to us.
Shoppers get one Sports Voucher for every £10 spent in-store.
The Sports Vouchers are then used by the Broncos to receive FREE Sports Equipment.
Our Secretary, Alison Woods is looking for everyone to help raise enough
Tesco Sports for Schools & Clubs Vouchers to provide YOUR Club with some FREE sports equipment.
Bundles of vouchers can be handed to any Committee Member (FAO Alison).
The last vouchers issued in-store will be Sunday 5th November 2006.

Friday 12th January 2007 - deadline for receipt of orders and vouchers.
January/February 2007 - order confirmation letters sent out.
Friday 30th March 2007 - Final date for banking vouchers.

NFL CONSIDERS NEXT MOVE AFTER CHINA
NFL owners will consider next month whether to play two games a year outside the United States,
starting with contests in Canada, Mexico, Britain and Germany.
The league has played numerous exhibition games overseas for the past two decades.
The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will play a pre-season game next August in Beijing.

BAFL CONFIRMS 2007 CHANGES - 8th October 2006
At the ‘end of season’ meeting at Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield on Saturday 7th October,
the BAFL board of directors confirmed to all teams present the realignments for the 2007 BAFL Season.
BAFL Premier ... Birmingham Bulls, Bristol Aztecs, Coventry Cassidy Jets, East Kilbride Pirates,
Gateshead Senators, London Blitz, London Olympians and Southern Sundevils.
BAFL 1 North ... ASAP Yorkshire Rams, Chester Romans, Doncaster Mustangs, Redditch Arrows,
Staffordshire Surge and West Coast Trojans.
BAFL 1 South ... Colchester Gladiators, Kent Exiles, MCP Ipswich Cardinals, Oxford Saints,
PA Knights and Sussex Thunder.
BAFL 2 ... will be decided once all applications and successful associates have been confirmed.

CLAYMORE WINS GERMAN BOWL WITH AN MVP PERFORMANCE - 7th October 2006
The Braunschweig Lions won the National Final of the German Championships,
German Bowl XXVIII, against Marburg Mercenaries 31-13.
The attendance was nearly 16,000.
Claymores player, Robert Flickinger was the MVP of the match.
