October 2004

relating to the forthcoming AGM ... eg changing roles / moving on /
aware of someone interested in becoming a Committee Member.

to get themselves involved ...
Anyone interested in joining the Committee should either ...
a) E-Mail any of the Committee ... OR ...
b) Speak to a Coach.
SFFA COMMITTEE MEETING - 26th October 2004
On Tuesday the SFFA Committee met to discuss items including a
proposal to change the 2005 Age Bands.
Outcome ...
After a lengthy debate last night it was voted that the Age Groups
would now coincide with the National Squad etc ... so in 2005 NO
Cadets will move up to Junior level.
Remember this only affects Cadets moving up to Juniors BUT NOT Juniors
moving up to Youths.
Revised Age Bands for 2005
Cadets ... would either be born on 92,93,94,95,96 and 97.
Juniors ... would be 90 and 91 only.
Youths ... would be 87,88 and 89.
Seniors ... would be 86 or earlier.
This will now give SFFA Clubs over a month (30th November deadline) to
decide their team numbers and complete and return their
Notification of Participation Form accordingly.

BRONCO CADETS ACHIEVE RUNNERS-UP POSITION AT SFFA FINALS DAY
- 9th October 2004
A fantastic 59-0 result against the Bengals in the Semi-Final
Play-Offs put the Broncos into the Final against the Siberian Tigers.
(who had beaten the Broncos at Kick-Off Weekend and FlameBowl).
The Final saw the Broncos take an early lead and almost hold it until
Half-Time (19-18 Tigers).
The Siberians capitalised on some indifferent performances by the
Bronco players early in the 2nd-Half which allowed the Tigers to move
into a commanding 15pt lead. However ... the Broncos dug deep and
eventually managed to claw-back to within 3pts ... only to be beaten
by good clock management ... and ...
the lack of extra points scored. Full-Time (39-36 Tigers).

Our congratulations go to the Glasgow Siberian Tigers who are the new
SFFA League Champions.
SFFA North/East Conference Champions together with the
