SFFA LEAGUE 2005 ... NOTIFICATION OF PARTICIPATION - 30th November 2004
The SFFA League 2005 will begin officially on 6th February 2005 (Super Bowl XXXIX Sunday).
The League will run all through Spring and Summer and finish on the 24th September 2005 ...
with SFFA Finals Day early in October 2005.
What the SFFA initially needs to do is obtain from all its SFFA Registered Clubs a notification of their intention to take part in the SFFA League 2005 ... and ... at what Age Level(s).
Please complete the Notification of Participation Form and return it by the 30th November 2004 ...
either by E-Mail or Post ... to one of the League Co-Ordinators ( Andrew Chapman or Andrew Wallace).

THE RESULTS ARE IN ... BRONCOS AGM / END OF YEAR BASH - 27th November 2004
On Saturday Night at Dalgrain Hall, Grangemouth we held our AGM ...
and then indulged ourselves in our favourite pastime ... eating, drinking and having fun.
Raffle Prizes were once again in abundance and many walked away with an armful of goodies.
The Club would like to thank everyone who turned out to support the Event and just as importantly ...
those generous individuals who bought Raffle Tickets and those who supplied the Raffle Prizes.
Club Funds were boosted by a very credible £150 !

AGM BRIEF SUMMARY - 27th November 2004
There will be a swapping of roles within the Club for 2005 ... Club Officials.
It was a poorer year for winning Silverware but a sound Front and Back Office operation which should help develop the boys and girls further in 2005 and beyond.
Many of our Players and Coaches are involved at Scottish and GB Level ... and we are all very pleased that the boys are fulfilling their early potential and that the SFFA think so highly of our Coaches.
FlameBowl 2004 was a success ... everyone who helped should be proud of our achievement.

The date has been set for the SDS Senior Squad Trials.
The Coaches are keen to get a Scotland Squad together as early as possible for the forthcoming Season.
The trial will be held at Airdrie Sports Centre from 10am until 12 Noon.
Speed and agility will be very much the focus for these trials.

The 2004 SFFA Grand Prize Draw was made last weekend following the SDS Youth Tournament.

CADETS AND JUNIORS DISAPPOINTED AS ENGLAND CLASH CANNED - 7th November 2004
Coach Ewing announced the cancellation of the Annual Scotland vs England International for our Cadet and Junior Squads due to no details from Team England as to venue, timings etc.
Recent communications with Team Englands' Head Coach have made it clear that they would be
unable to host this match.
To ensure that the SDS does not suffer such a loss of international competition next year, the SDS staff have committed themselves to hosting a small international tournament in 2005 to which they will seek teams from more than one nation.

ONE STEP CLOSER TO NFL GERMANY - 23rd November 2004
Hamburg, the second-largest city in Germany, has been awarded an NFL Europe League team ...
the Hamburg Sea Devils.
The Sea Devils will play in the 55,000-capacity AOL Arena, home of the SV Hamburg soccer team.
Other details, including team logo, coaching staff and management team will be announced later.
NFL Europe 2005 will kick-off on the weekend of 2nd / 3rd April.

CFL RECOGNISE EFFORT OF CLAYMORE - 19th November 2004
The Canadian Football League today announced the 2004 CFL All-Stars.
These All-Star winners were selected by 45 voting members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC)
plus 10 broadcast media.
1999 Claymore ... DB Clifford Ivory ... was named in the DEFENSE.
Clifford plays for the Toronto Argonauts who won the 2004 CFL Grey Cup.

RETIREMENT OF A POPULAR CLAYMORE - 12th November 2004
Eight-year NFL Europe League veteran Claymore Robert Flickinger ... has retired from the game.
Watching from the National Camp sidelines Flick commented on the youth of the players on show and admitted that he was happy to have made his decision to step away from the game ...
particularly given the weather conditions (SNOW).
The Broncos wish him all the best in whatever direction his future path takes.

NEXT STAGE FOR POTENTIAL NFLE NATIONALS ... COLOGNE - 9th / 12th November 2004
Following on from the UK Fitness Tests at Grangemouth and Crystal Palace ... the next crop of potential NFL Europe National Players meet up at the National Player Combine in Cologne, Germany.
From there, the elite prospects from Europe, Japan and Mexico will advance to National Player Mini Camp in St. Petersburg, Florida ... from 21st / 24th February 2005.
The top 48 players from that Training Camp will then be assigned to the rosters of the six NFL Europe League teams (eight per club) ... in time to begin preparations for the 2005 NFL Europe League Season, which kicks off in April.

NFL AGREE A SIX YEAR EXTENSION TO TV DEALS WITH FOX AND CBS - 8th November 2004
The Eight Billion Dollar Contract until 2011 will allow these TV Companies to televise
Sunday Afternoon Games and also allow the NFL to show better match-ups late in the season in prime-time
(ie option to move 7 late-season games from a Sunday to a Monday Night).
