SFFA 2006 RESULTS IN MAY

BRONCO SECOND QUARTER TRAINING FEES NOW DUE - 31st May 2006
As you are aware we have changed the Club Fee Structure for 2006 and your first quarter payment
has already been received.
A letter should now have been received asking you to forward the second quarter's payment (£25)
before the End of May.
As we would appreciate the payment as soon as possible ...
a SAE was provided for you to return the payment.
Cheques should be made payable to ... 'Grangemouth Broncos Flag FC'.

INCHYRA ENJOYS VISIT OF SDS SENIORS - 28th May 2006
On Sunday, Inchyra Park saw more Flag Football when the Scotland Squad held a training session and
played a scrimmage match against some local players.
There are currently six Broncos in the Senior Scotland Squad ... Martin Galloway, Ryan Hunter,
Paul Jeffreys, David Mooney Snr, David Mooney Jnr and Jimmy Thomson.

BRONCOS CONTINUE THEIR POOR RECORD AGAINST THEIR BOGEY TEAM - 27th May 2006
On Saturday, The Bronco Cadets and Juniors welcomed the Glasgow Tigers to Inchyra Park.
The Cadets went down 48-12 ... whilst the Juniors lost 32-19.
The Bronco Seniors match against Stirling Scorpions was postponed.

CLAYMORES HALL OF FAME VOTING - 27th May 2006
The Scottish Gridiron Association announced the nominees for the 2006 induction into the
Scottish Claymores Hall of Fame back in April.
Before the finalists are unveiled the nominees will face a vote
of both fans and media running during April and May.
Voting ends on Saturday 27th May ... the same day as the NFLE World Bowl.
The results will be announced at the Scottish American Football Festival (23rd / 25th June).

2006 EUROPEAN SCHOOL FINALS ... WELL DONE WOODHAM ! - 27th May 2006
The Grangemouth Broncos would like to congratulate Woodham Warriors on finishing
3rd in the 2006 European Schools Finals in Dusseldorf, Germany.
This is a fantastic achievement for English Flag Football and gives a boost to all UK Flag Teams who
don't think it is possible to compete with the Rest of Europe.

5th Place game ... Austria 20 v Italy 12
Semi-Finals ... England 20 v Netherlands 48 and Germany 31 v Spain 37 (OT)
Spain and Netherlands therefore qualify for the World Championships in Cologne.

2006 EUROPEAN SCHOOL FINALS - 26th / 28th May 2006
The Euro Final will be held this weekend in Dusseldorf, Germany.
As the 2006 English Schools Champions, Woodham Warriors will once again be representing
England at the ESF.
After the tournament Woodham will then watch the two best NFLE teams as they compete for the
World Bowl at the LTU Arena.
The Event date is earlier than normal due to the Soccer World Cup being hosted by Germany.

LEADERS AWARD TO TAKE PLACE IN FALKIRK - 20th May 2006
On Saturday, the Leaders Award will be held in Falkirk.

BRONCOS HAVE MIXED FORTUNES ON GLASGOW GREEN - 13th May 2006
On Saturday, the Bronco Cadets and Juniors travelled West to face the Glasgow Hornets.
This was the Cadet and Junior Squads first games in the 2006 SFFA League ...
with the young inexperienced Cadets narrowly losing and the vastly experienced Juniors
continuing their good run of success from last year.
Both our Bronco Coaches have plenty of 'food for thought' before both their Squads face
the Mighty Tigers, at Inchyra Park, in a fortnight.

INVERNESS TO HOST THE SFFA FINALS DAY - 5th May 2006
Inverness Blitz Academy of American Football has been successful in their bid to host
the Scottish Flag Football Associations Finals Day.
The 2006 SFFA Finals Day will take place on Saturday 30th September at the
Bught Park Stadium in Inverness.

MARK BRAMWELL TAKES UP NEW FLAG POSITION - 2nd May 2006
Mark Bramwell has recently been appointed as the BAFCA Flag Football Officer.
It will be Mark's job to work alongside the BAFCA Director of Education on developing and
sustaining a Flag Coach Education Programme.
The new structure is to mirror that of the Kitted CEP ... with a Flag Level 2 ready to roll out soon.

2005 SCROLL AWARDS ... TALENT ON TAP !
Some of Falkirk's most talented individuals were rewarded for their achievements at
the recent Annual Scroll Awards ceremony.
Falkirk Council celebrated the successes of many local people ...
which included some of our very own Broncos.
Awards went to the following achievers ...
Individuals
Callum Woods, Fraser Thomson, David Ewing, Ryan Harkins, Thomas Allison, Kevin Simpson,
Charlie Ewing, Jimmy Thomson, Jonathan Ewing and Adam Donaldson.
Teams
Cadet Junior and Youth Squads.
Special Award
Charlie Ewing was presented with a Trophy in recognition of his Services to Sport.
Well done to all those involved !

10TH ANNIVERSARY EVENTS TO CELEBRATE WORLD BOWL '96
On the 23rd June 2006 it will be 10 years to the day of the Claymores winning their only World Bowl.
TouchdownClaymores.com and the Scottish Gridiron Association are planning a series of events for
football fans centred around that weekend.
All events will be based in Edinburgh just like World Bowl '96.
Plans are still at an early stage but over the coming months further details will be announced.

NFL EUROPE PREPARES FOR CHANGE - 27th May 2006
Retention of current line-up and market locations for our six teams for 2007.
Recommendation to push start of season back two weeks to a start date of 7th April 2007 with
World Bowl XV on 16th June.
Relocation of league HQ office from London to Frankfurt
Plan to retain more players on each team every year.
Employment of a highly-qualified American coach in the Frankfurt office.
Plan to license investors for two teams, starting with the 2007 season, and to license a local operator
for a third team in 2008.
Launch of a new league branding strategy to create closer identification with the NFL,
establish direct links between NFL teams and individual NFLEL teams.
In addition, the Board heard updates on the status of other German markets that remain interested in
securing an NFLEL franchise. The top two market candidates are Hanover and Leipzig.
Long-term goal of an eight-team ... two-division, 12-game season by 2010.

On Saturday the World Bowl took place at the Dusseldorf's LTU Arena, home of the Rhein Fire.
In 2005 the Admirals had won the World Bowl for the first time in their history ... it wasn't to be a double.
The Frankfurt Galaxy have scored an unprecedented fourth World Bowl title.

Two legendary music acts will headline at the climax of the NFL Europe League season.
