W.C.O CLYDE BOWL 2002 WINNERS - After a slow start where the
boys lost their first game they picked themselves up and won the

in the Final.
The Broncos came out eventual winners with Fraser Thomson scoring
on an interception and James Muir scoring the winning TD.
QB David Ewing played brilliantly and did not throw an interception

UK BOWL 2002 WINNERS - The Grangemouth Broncos will fly
the Scottish Flag at World Bowl X in Dusseldorf, Germany, having won
the NFL UK Flag Football Championship.
The 12 to 14-year-olds narrowly defeated
London's Selhurst Snipers 46-40 in the shadow of the famous
Murrayfield Stadium before the Scottish Claymores took on the
Frankfurt Galaxy in the NFL Europe League.
Quarterback Scott Keir took MVP honours as he threw six touchdown
passes in the win that broke a losing streak for Scottish teams
hosting the UK finals. The previous two clashes have seen teams
visit from south of the border and return home victorious.
Keir's favourite target was wide receiver Jonathan Ewing, who reeled
in the game's decisive touchdown on a superb jinking run between
tacklers to find the endzone.
Snipers MVP Cory White and quarterback Jerome Allen had combined to
chip away at the Broncos' early 14-point lead and although the game
remained close throughout, Grangemouth never relinquished their lead
having been in front 24-14 at halftime.
Scotland's heroes are the first team to qualify for the
European Championships to be held at World Bowl X and will be joined
by teams from the Netherlands, who hold their final on June 1,
Spain (May 19) and Germany (June 15). Two European teams will
progress to the NFL Flag Football World Championship in
Mexico City in August.
A superb video of the event can be purchased for a small fee of £5 to help Club Funds. Well done to Maureen Ewing for this extremely good quality production. The Oscar we believe is IN THE POST. If you wish at copy speak to Charlie.
