CANDLES BURN LATE INTO THE NIGHT AT COMMITTEE MEETING - 30th March 2004
The Committee Meeting took place on Tuesday at the Ewing Residence ...
where many important issues were discussed.
Items which included ... compulsory mouthguards, no metal studs on boots, new League Structure for each age-band for 2004 - with each team guaranteed to play 10 games, possible dates for FlameBowl discussed (11th Sept ?), Fan Club Banner to be made, new Forum for the Website (now live), proposed new Coaching & Officiating (Development Plan), a new position - Head Official filled by John Myles ... with the vacant Chairman position to be filled at a later stage.

SEVERAL SENIOR BRONCOS MAKE THE SDS ROSTER - 28th March 2004
John Myles, Greg Bird and Charlie Barratt have made the 12 Man Roster ...
with Thomas Farrer one of the two reserve QBs.

BRONCOS HELP RAMS WIN POP WARNER CHAMPIONSHIP GAME - 28th March 2004
North Lanarkshire Rams 34 @ Clyde Valley Falcons 28 (OT)
Blair McTague, Jonathan Ewing, Ross Keir and Steven Giannandrea went to Wishaw hoping to put one over on the Falcons for the first ... and last time this Season ... and they did it.
Blair controlled the game at QB ...
with Jonathan bagging the first TD and Steven collecting a couple of TDs ... plus 2 x 2pt Conversions.
Well Done Rams !

MORE SWEAT REQUIRED FOR THE SDS - 28th March 2004
SDS Senior Coaches were impressed with the turn out in early March and are close to making a decision as to who will fill the 12 Man Roster that will compete at the Flag Oceane International Competition
in Le Havre, France on the 29th / 30th May 2004.
All candidates will once again be assessed on the second trial date scheduled for Sunday
at Inchyra Park, Grangemouth - 10am.
Sick-Bags will once again ... NOT be provided.

BRONCO FLAMEBOWL I - 20th March 2004
Due to poor weather conditions the FlameBowl 2004 had to be postponed.
Grangemouth Stadium felt the pitches were unplayable by 8:30am.
The Broncos Organisation regret being unable to contact everyone prior to leaving their towns and cities.
We thank those that did turn up and try and make a day of it ... at Inchyra Park ...
BUT the weather was always going to be the only winner !
We are not currently in a position to discuss re-arranging the date ...
but it would be our intention to do so over the next week or so.

PETER WAS A SKATER-BOY ... BRONCOS WILL HAVE TO SEE-U-LATER BOY - 19th March 2004
Unfortunately, Bronco Junior Peter McAllister has broke his arm in a skate-boarding accident ...
and had to have surgery.
Peter is now out of hospital but will be out of action for at least 5 to 6 weeks.
The Broncos wish Peter a speedy recovery ... Get Well Soon !

The Lanarkshire Outlaws are looking for more players to increase their SFFA Senior Flag Team Roster.
The Outlaws plan to practice on Thursday nights at Strathclyde Park.

THINGS JUST GET BETTER AND BETTER FOR OUR COACHING TEAM - 13th March 2004
Congratulations again ... to Adam Donaldson.
As we know, after working alongside Coach Ewing in the Juniors for the last 6 months, Adam has been given the role of our Youth Team Coach.
In addition to this Adam was asked to assist at the recently held SDS Selection Day held at Forthbank in Stirling ... and following an excellent day for Broncos Players and Coaches alike ... Adam now holds the post of Assistant Coach for the Junior National Team , working alongside Coach Chapman (Hornets).
Robbie McKenzie also formally took up the role offered to him at the end of last year as the Assistant Coach for the Cadet National Team. This now means that all 4 Bronco Team Coaches now hold a position at some level in the National Coaching Team. This is a superb testament to the quality of the coaching available within the club and shows that the club is a centre of talent both on the pitch and on the sideline.

The Broncos were delighted when they managed to fill 12 of the 48 places available.

BRONCOS ANNOUNCE NEW COACH POSITIONS - 6th March 2004
Adam Donaldson has been given the task of carrying on the good work of LT who officially
stepped down as Youth Coach after todays training.
We wish Adam and Alan well as they both embark on something new.
Coach Donaldson has one month to get his troops motivated for the start of the
2004 SFFA League Campaign.
Also ... Ryan McColgan has been appointed Assistant Youth Coach ...
with Matt McAllister being appointed Assistant Junior Coach.

BRONCOS TO TRY AND DRAFT FELLOW BRONCOS - 21st March 2004
With so many Claymore Players associated with the Denver Broncos this year ... the Grangemouth Broncos plan to Draft a Player for the 2004 Claymores' Annual Fan Draft.
On behalf of the Broncos, John Myles will be invited to select up to 5 Players to back and cheer by 'drafting' them on the last day of Pre-Season Training Camp.
The only stipulation being that we must back the selected players throughout the NFL Europe Season and make up a banner to show off during home games.

OCEANE DRIVE FOR SENIOR BRONCOS
The SFFA Scottish Development Squad is to set up a Senior Squad to play at the
Flag Oceane International Competition in Le Havre, France on the 29th / 30th May 2004.
