BRONCO SENIORS EYED UP THE TIGER - 28th June 2003
Following the cancellation of the SFFA Bulls fixture ...
the Seniors managed to arrange a friendly
... at home ... against the
TDC Glasgow
Sabres.
The Sabres lost but have only recently started to play Flag Football
... hopefully everyone enjoyed the experience on Saturday.

Thanks to Steven G for pointing out that Inverness have a Photo Gallery
where there are a few special moments recorded on The Web ... including

SOME BRONCOS FLAG SKOOL TO WIN BOWL - 26th June 2003
St Mungo's Mud Puppies ... Jonathan, Steven G, Mark O, David and Craig
played in the School Bowl at Trinity High School, Glasgow on Thursday.
Apparently the young men were in excellent form and seen off the
opposition quite comfortably.
The teams they played and won against were St Ninians A, St Ninians B
and Trinity High.
Everybody tried out in a variety of different positions (incl QB).
Craig got medal for 'sportsmanship' as he got his 1st TD, 1st
interception and 1st time he sacked a QB.
SOCCER SUPERSTAR ... STEVO ... GETS ANOTHER MEDAL
Steven Giannandrea plays for Gairdoch United
and has recently added another Trophy to his Soccer CV ... The Steven
Rae Cup ... beating their deadly rivals Syngenta (Cup Holders 2001/02).
It was the first time Gairdoch had won against Syngenta this year ...
beating them 3-2 with Steven getting two of those goals.
Gairdoch Utd are also Holders of the Scottish Cup 2002/03.
BRONCOS TRIP TO FIFE POSTPONED - 29th June 2003
On Sunday, the Broncos were due to travel to Kirkcaldy to take on the
Bulls ... However, due to circumstances beyond the control of the
Broncos ... the
game will be re-scheduled for next month.
CADETS ARE NORTH / EAST SFFA CONFERENCE LEAGUE CHAMPIONS -
7th June 2003
The 2 wins at Inverness at the weekend mean that the Bronco Cadets have
now won the
North / East League with an unbeaten record.
The Broncos now progress to the SFFA Finals Day in September or October
where they will join 3 other teams in one league of 4 (round robin)
with the eventual 1st place team playing the 2nd placed in the Final
and the 3rd and 4th placed teams competing in a 3rd place Play-Off.
Congratulations to the Cadets !
BRONCOS FACED ROAD TRIP - 7th June 2003
On Saturday, the Broncos travelled by Bus to Inverness to face the
return leg against Inverness Blitz and Moray Maniacs @ Bught Park
Stadium.
All age-bands took part in this all-day event.
Each seat would have cost around £10 but the Club partly
subsidised the trip ... therefore it only cost everyone £5 per
person.
Our 51-seater left Grangemouth Sports Stadium, Front Car Park around
8am and returned around 8pm that night.
We arrived 11:15am ... with first games kicking-off @ 12noon.
Broncos had a great day with every Squad winning all their games.
Results ... Cadets, Juniors,
Youths and Seniors.
Games were completed by 3:45pm and we hit the road back around 4:15pm.
All Players and Coaches would like to thank Inverness for a lovely
venue, the weather and friendly but competitive matches !
OH DEAR WHAT ... CAN ... THE MATTER BE ... - 7th June 2003

CLAYMORES BOWL FINALS - 1st June 2003
After qualifying from the Stirling Bowl Qualifier on 25th May, the
Maniacs and the Broncos were to again meet in the same Group ... along
with the Glasgow Tigers ... and Lornshill Leopards who were invited to
fill a missing 8th berth.
The Broncos managed to avoid ... Inverclyde Raiders and Predators A who
both advanced from the West/South Qualifier ... and St Mungo's the
Glasgow High School Champions.
This unfortunately is where the fairy-tale ends
The Broncos played with their usual courage and passion but found it
difficult to cope with the height and strength of their difficult
opponents.
The Broncos finished bottom of the Group with an 0-3 record ... it
looks bad but don't let anyone tell you they didn't give maximum
effort.
To make it this far was a major achievement and something to be proud
of ... I am sure all your Parents and Everybody at the Club would agree
... Well Done to the 2003 Bowl Squad ...
David, Josh, Kevin, Craig, Peter and Scott.

Friendly - The Sabres reckon the Broncos won 54-19.

The Sabres reckon that defense is where Flag is won and lost ...
therefore well done to everyone ... the Bronco Offense for making
