The International is on Aug 17th so it is hoped to pick a squad on Saturday and then have a training session prior to the International matches.

ELEVEN BRONCOS NAMED IN SCOTLAND SQUAD TO PLAY GB - On a lovely sunny day in Stirling 4 Cadets and 7 Juniors produced good enough performances to be selected to play against Great Britain in August. For more details on the day Click Here

EUROPEAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2002 - Are being held in North Lanarkshire between the 28th July and the 3rd August.
At Broadwood Stadium on Sunday 28th July -
Austria 28 vs. Czech Rep 6 and Great Britain 14 vs. France 21
At Dalziel Park on Tuesday 30th July -
Russia 40 vs. Czech Rep 0 and France 7 vs. Germany 14

EAST KILBRIDE PIRATES MAKE PLAY-OFFS AGAIN
After a fantastic 10-0 Season, the Pirates (Seed 1) need to beat the Chester Romans (Seed 8) one more time if they wish to progress to Round 2 of the Playoffs on 4th August.

BRONCOS GO DOWN A STORM IN DUNDEE - After only two teams turned up on Saturday 6th July for the Independence Bowl, Under 13 Category, the Broncos faced the host team, Dundee Storm, in the Final. Ross and Scott Keir returned temporarily to boost the average age of the under 12 team. It turned out to be a really close game. After leading at half-time the boys found themselves behind with just over 2 minutes on the clock. With some tactical changes and good play the Broncos took the lead with seconds to play on the clock. Well Done to the boys and Coach McKenzie for bringing back yet another trophy. Junior News:

PERFECT STORM - Again, after only two teams turned up on Sunday 7th July for the Independence Bowl, 16 and Under Category, the Broncos faced the host team, Dundee Storm, in the Final.
The Broncos lead at half-time and for most of the second half until the last minute when Dundee moved into a slender 3 point lead. Although every effort was made to recover the points no further scoring occurred. Storm beat the Broncos by 38 points to 35. For more details on the game Click Here

SENIOR CITIZENS WIN IN DUNDEE - Four of the regulars entered the Independence Bowl, on Sunday 7th July, with one thing in mind ... to have FUN. With Scrappy acquired from another team to make up the numbers the Broncos WON their first game.
A fantastic day and an experience not to be forgotten. With a face like a berry with the sun and every bone in my body aching - some will take longer to forget it than others !
Scores will be added once confirmed by Charlie in Dundee.

Mid Squad News:

HAPPY BRONCOS MEAL OUT AT PICS - As a special treat, locals firms McDonalds and Cineworld gave the UK Champions a night out to remember for doing their best in Dusseldorf.
Coach Ewing and the boys were dined at McDonalds and afterwards went to Cineworld to watch Spiderman with popcorn and juice in plentiful supply. The Broncos would like to thank Alan McCann at McDonalds and Doug McNicoll at Cineworld for their help in making this event happen.

YO STEPHEN - Mr Cumming, after borrowing sticky gloves from Robbie, achieved his first competitive touchdown in the Dundee tournament. Previous owner of the gloves was Claymore Yo Murphy.

MATT LEAVES DUNDEE EARLY TO AVOID GIVING URINE SAMPLE - Matt had a fantastic tournament scoring possibly 5 touchdowns ? - even more special was the fact that Matt plays defense !

BIRTHDAY BOY - This month Paul Kelly celebrates his 39th Birthday - the Club wishes him all the best when it comes.
