BRONCOS NEED TO SEE MORE REGULAR INCOME COMING INTO THE
CLUB
Like all Clubs the Broncos need to see a steady flow of cash-inwards
to make ends meet.
At the last Committee Meeting it was decided to make each Coach
responsible for collecting the Subs
from their own Squad ... then hand funds to the Treasurer.
Our NEW Logo has been approved and now
we need to move forward with merchandise opportunities
to help promote 'Club Identity' and just as important ... raise much
needed funds.
OCS ... ARE YOU THEIR STAR OF TOMORROW ?

A budding young sports star could win sponsorship of up to
£10,500 through the
OCS Young Sportsperson of the Year Awards.
The competition is open to all young people who are still at school or
college,
who will be UNDER 18 on 1ST SEPT 2005 ... and also have a special
talent for sport.
It is also open to Youth and Sports Clubs.
The winner of each of the Scottish Regional Category will receive a
prize of ... £2,500.

BRONCO CADETS MOVE TO TOP OF CONFERENCE
- 30th July 2005
The Glasgow Sabres travelled to Inchyra Park to play their
inter-conference game against the Broncos.
With only a squad of five the Sabres found the ten-man Broncos just
too much to handle.
The Sabres declined the Mercy Rule just before half-time ...
Final Score 53-0 Broncos.
The Broncos move to the top of the SFFA North/East Cadet Conference on
point-difference.
RYAN IN KITTED ACTION WITH THE GB LIONS

Bronco Ryan Hunter is away on International Duty at the
2005 European Championships (Sweden).
On Thursday, the
GB Lions
(No4 Seed) will play Germany (No1 Seed) in the Semi-Finals
for the
right to play either hosts Sweden or Finland in the Final on Saturday.

BRONCOS DYNAMIC DUO HOPE TO ADD SPEED TO GB LIONS IN
SPAIN - 24th July 2005
Broncos, Martyn Paterson and Callum Woods have been selected to
represent the GB Lions Cadet Squad
at the European Championships (Canary Islands) in September.
Scots make up half of the GB Cadet Squad ... which means that the
Broncos have quarter !
In addition to this ... David Ewing is a reserve for the GB Junior
Squad should anyone call off.
Well Done Guys !
BRONCOS HELP ADD A U.S. THEME TO CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL
- 24th July 2005
On Sunday, kids saw stars and stripes at this year's
American-Themed Children's Festival
at Zetland Park, Grangemouth.
Organised by Falkirk Council and Innovene, the Annual Event features a
whole host of activities
for young people to take part in ... including Flag Football,
Cheerleading, Basketball and Golf Sessions,
American Craft Work ... and a chance to perform like a Hollywood Actor.
There will also be a Disney-Themed Fancy Dress Competition,
Gymnastic Displays and music from
the Central FM Radio Station Roadshow.
Admission was FREE and NO TICKETS were required for the Festival,
which ran from 1pm until 5pm.
Coach Jimmy Thomson was in attendance and managed to attract a few
young gents to the sport of
Flag Football. The boys all seemed to enjoy the experience and some
even indicated that they would
make an appearance at Inchyra. Here's hoping !
BRONCOS HEAD TO GB TRIALS - 22nd / 24th July 2005
After Selection Camps run on the 18th June by both the England and
Scotland Development Squads
the following Bronco Players have been invited to attend the GB Lions
Selection Camp ...
Martyn Paterson (Cadets), Fraser Thomson (Cadets), Callum Woods
(Cadets), David Ewing (Juniors)
and Josh Keir (Juniors).
The GB Selection Camp will be run on the Wolfson Campus of Glasgow
University, Glasgow.
8 players from each Age Band will be selected at Camp to represent
Great Britain in this years’
European Championships ... which culminate with the Finals being held
in The Canaries late September.
Congratulations to our Broncos and wish them all good luck !

BRONCO SENIORS KEEP ON WINNING WITHOUT RYAN
- 23rd July 2005
With GB Lions starlet Ryan Hunter away on international duty in Sweden
it was left to the
older five members of the Bronco Senior Squad to take on
the Lanarkshire Steelers @ Inchyra Park.
The Steelers started with the ball but twice found themselves down
by a single touchdown ...
but the Lanarkshire side did manage to draw level by half-time (13-13).
In the second-half the Broncos started with possession and used it
effectively to take the lead on
another two occasions and wisely to run down the clock in the last
few seconds.
Final Score ... 26-19 to the Broncos.
The Bronco Seniors are now four games unbeaten in the 2005 SFFA League
and sit proudly at the top.
Well done to the Old Men !
BBC BRING BMX BANDITS AND RIVER CITY TO GRANGEMOUTH

Grangemouth has been a BBC Soundtown for the last year, with programmes
broadcast live
from Grangemouth High School.
On Saturday, the town centre will see a day of fun and entertainment
... with music from the BMX Bandits.
Kelly Marie, Shellsuit Bob and Grumpy George from the BBC Soap
'River City' will mingle with crowds
and serve in the shops during the day.
Budding stars can also try their hand at presenting in Special Radio
Workshops and
Special BBC Blue Candy will be on sale.
NEW GB APPOINTMENTS GIVE THE EWINGS A WEEKEND IN SPAIN

National Programme Director for Flag Football, Stuart McKay has just
announced his
Coaching and Support Staff for the 2005 GB Lions Flag Football
Programme which sees
Charlie Ewing (Head Coach), Jonathan Ewing (Coach) and Maureen Ewing
(Manager) take up
important roles within the Organisation.
The Programme will involve the preparation and competing in this
years European Championships ...
for Juniors (Canary Isles, Spain) and Seniors (Helsinki, Finland) in
September.

Following the SFFA General Committee Meeting in June the SFFA have felt
it necessary to give
guidance to its Member Clubs with regard to photographs of our younger
members ...
on the website, flyers, posters etc.
A Parental Waiver allowing permission for photographs to be taken and
used will be added to the
2006 Registration Forms.
For 2005 ...
Clubs are strongly advised to consider obtaining a Parental Waiver
from their own Club Members.

The 2005 European Championships will take place in Sweden on the
28th July.
The GB Lions (No4 Seed) will play Germany (No1 Seed) in the
Semi-Final next summer.
The hosts Sweden and Finland will contest the other semi-final.
The games will take place in the southern most part of Sweden in
downtown Malmo.
A two day camp in the first weekend in December will be the start
of the GB Lions preparations.
