SENIORS HAVE TO GRIN AND BEAR SABRES DEFEAT
- 31st July 2004
On Saturday, the TDC Glasgow Sabres travelled to Inchyra Park,
Grangemouth to give the Bronco Seniors their first home SFFA League
game of the Season.
A narrow 41-40 defeat has left the Broncos with alot to do if they
plan to finish above the Sabres.
JUNIORS EXPERIENCE CRAZY RESULT AGAINST MANIACS
- 31st July 2004
On Saturday, the Bronco Juniors travelled North to face the Moray
Maniacs in the SFFA League.
Broncos lost 52-8.
From what I can gather the Maniacs were on fire and left the Broncos
with lots to think about for the return leg. It will be difficult to
overcome a very confident team at the moment but with missing
personnel back ... we should be able to run the Maniacs a bit
closer next time. A home crowd does make a difference.
The Maniacs have won all their games convincingly and now look to be
cruising to the SFFA Finals Day.
FOR ONCE A QUICK COMMITTEE MEETING - 28th July 2004

the Ewings' Residence.
Only a few very important issues were raised (and dealt with) ...
resulting in an unusual early finish.
General Summary ...
Youth Squad have officially withdrawn from the SFFA for
2004 due to lack of regular numbers, we discussed what could be
purchased with our 6000 Kingsmill Tokens, major injury worries for the
Juniors (Chris and Josh out with finger problems), Sub Collector
needed, Inverness trip in August,
outstanding Disclosure Forms and that Coaches can claim reasonable
travel expenses to any away games when appropriate to do so.
Club Members are reminded to hand in their
Bronco Registration Form as soon as
possible ...
if NOT already completed then please download.
Next Committee Meeting scheduled for 8th Sept ... followed by another
on 27th Oct.

INJURY LIST GROWS AS ANOTHER JUNIOR IS IN FOR THE CHOP
Bronco Junior Josh Keir has lost the tip of one
of his fingers and could miss the next 4 to 6 weeks training sessions
... the things boys will do to avoid hard work !
Grow another one ... Get Back (Well) Soon.
TAKE A BREAK ... CHRISSY STILL HAS ONE LESS POINT TO PROVE
Bronco Junior Chris McKerral has suffered a
broken finger and could miss the next 6 weeks training sessions
... how lucky is that !
Get Back (Well) Soon.
COST OF OIL-CATS BENEFITS REST OF THE SFFA SENIOR LEAGUE
Following the surprise withdrawal of the Aberdeen Oilcats from the
Senior League ...
the Broncos have been awarded 2 wins and 64 pts.
Similarly the Sabres and the Outlaws have been awarded 2 wins ...
with the Bulls ... who were the only team to sample the Oilcats ...
receiving 1 win.
The Broncos hate to see any team forfeit games and hope that the
Oilcats will make an early return in 2005.
With the Bulls as strong as ever it looks as if the fight is hotting up
for 2nd Place with the Sabres and the Broncos due to meet each
other at the end of this month.
BRONCO SENIORS RUN BULLS CLOSE ... BUT JUST NOT CLOSE
ENOUGH - 18th July 2004
On Sunday, the Seniors travelled to Fife for their first 2004
SFFA League Game
against the Kirkcaldy Bulls.
Although the Broncos lost 48-38 to last years Champions ...
they never lost heart or hope and many positives were taken from the
game.

ALL CHANGE AT SGA - 3rd July 2004
The SGA held it's AGM on Saturday.
The voting structure has now changed ... All Clubs will have one vote
per American Football Discipline they participate in ... ie the
Broncos will have ONE vote as they run a Flag Programme ... whereas
the Glasgow Tigers have 4 votes as they run Flag, Youth Kitted,
Junior Kitted and have a team in the BSL.
This means that the SFFA has ultimately the most votes as we have the
most teams.
The SGA hold our vote at the BAFA table, so we must use our
vote wisely.
One representative from each discipline at each Club has been asked to
register with the SFFA forum ...
to aid better communication.
The New SGA Board ... Stu McKay (Chairman), Doug Adamson
(Vice-Chairman),
Steven McCusker (Treasurer) and Alfie Betts (Secretary).
Broncos Head Coach ... Charlie Ewing ... has been asked to develop a
programme
for the long term future of our game in Scotland.
THAT'S LIFE JIM ... BUT NOT AS WE KNOW IT !
Jim Burns' Claymores (NFL Europe) Contract has sadly expired.
The Broncos would like to thank Jim for all his help with the
SFFA ...
especially whilst Scott Couper was on Claymores duty.
We all hope that Jim will still continue to involve himself with the
SFFA and ...
all Scotland's Grassroot Football Programmes.
We wish Jim all the best and hope that he finds a job that gives him as
much satisfaction as his last ...
Good Luck Jim !
His close friend Scott Couper will take over all his remaining
SFFA duties meantime.
AFTER ON-GOING DISCUSSIONS BRONCOS RENEW INCHYRA LET -
1st July 2004
There had been talk of the Broncos moving to Glensburgh Rugby Club ...
but after looking into costs, priority, pitches, facilities etc ...
it was decided to stay at Inchyra Park, Grangemouth for at least
another year.
