GB SELECTION CAMP ... DESTINATION ROTHERHAM -
25th / 28th July 2003
Rotherham Training / Selection Camp starts @ 2pm on the Friday with a
target of making a provisional selection @ midday on Sunday.
Scotland Junior and Cadet 'All Stars' will then arrive and play round
robin games on the Sunday afternoon and Monday morning to put the GB
Players in game situations.
Final selection of the GB Squad will then be made prior to the end of
Camp on Monday @ noon.

HOWEVER due to problems with the pitch arrangements ... it will NOT now
take place.

A Bronco Legend has returned to the Inchyra Corral to spread his wisdom
to the Bronco Juniors.
With Coach Charlie Ewing being so deeply involved in the SFFA and SDS
set-up ... Coach Ewing needed someone to help him as an Assistant Coach
... set forward ... Adam Donaldson.
Adam will continue to play with the
North Lanarkshire Rams on Sundays and where possible give
assistance to his former Club on Saturday mornings.

place on Sunday @ 1pm.
The Youths and the
Seniors made the trip to Ravenscraig Park,
Kirkcaldy ... hoping to put one over on their rivals.
However ... it was not to be ... as both Bronco Squads lost.

The Youths won the friendly against a Mixed Sabres Team ...
and showed the Bronco Seniors how it can be done !
However ...
The Sabres-O played most of the game with 2 Junior and 2 Cadet
aged players.
Whilst the Sabres-D was also mixed with the 2 Junior players.

Sabres
TDC GLASGOW SABRES 21 @ BRONCOS 20 - 26th July 2003
The Bronco Seniors were iced by the Sabres in their second friendly
match.
With 4 new Bronco Players making up the starting 11 ... there was alot
of Offensive and Defensive changes to give everyone a chance to shine.
The Broncos could have won with the last throw of the game but a tip
from the Sabres-D was enough to divert the ball through the despairing
hands of WR Stephen Cumming.
Take nothing away from the Sabres they played well and are improving
all the time ... they will be a good addition to the SFFA League.

dates for athletes from any sport to evaluate their fitness levels and
gauge whether they have the ability the play professional Gridiron.

NFL FLAG FOOTBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE HELD IN JAPAN -
31st July 2003
American Football Players, aged 11 to 14, from around the globe will
gather in Tokyo, Japan, this summer to compete for the NFL Flag
Football World Championship.
The Championship will kick-off with Preliminary Round action on
Thursday, 31st July 2003 with the Second Round taking place on Friday,
1st August 2003.
The Finals on Saturday, 2nd August 2003 will be part of the American
Bowl festivities as the NFL's Buccaneers and NY Jets meet in Pre-Season
action at the Tokyo Dome.
Three European teams qualified for this Annual Event before World Bowl
XI in Glasgow ...
The Netherlands, Austria and Spain.
CFL WEEK 6 ... MONTREAL 50 @ WINNIPEG 19 - 24th July 2003
Anthony Calvillo passed for 365 yards and 5 TDs, leading the Alouettes
to a 50-19 rout of the Blue Bombers in a Battle of Division Leaders.
Over 28,000 people watched the Alouettes go 5-1.

BRONCO FAREWELL TO DAVIS WHO IS MORE INJURY PRONE THAN
G.I. JOE - 24th July 2003
Denver have waived the 9-Year-Veteran, RB
Terrell Davis
... bringing an official end to a stint with the Broncos that began on
the draft weekend of 1995, when the team selected him in the 6th round.
Injuries have plagued him since Week 4 of 1999.
The team's decision to waive Davis was seconded by the Running Back
himself.
Members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Selection Committee will
have 5 years from the day Davis makes his retirement official to
consider whether he is worthy of induction.
However ... Davis is not ready to retire just yet ... if he can get
himself fit again and avoid the waivers ... Broncos would be only to
willing to welcome back their Local Hero.
ROB WILL GIVE HIS HART AND SOLE TO THE DOLPHINS -

Rob Hart jets off to Florida to continue his dream of an NFL career
... this time with Miami.
Rob has been invited to take part in the Dolphins Training Camp which
starts on the 25th July and hopes to room with fellow Claymore
Kevin Stemke.

The Titans are expected to sign Claymore Kicker
Brian Holmes in
the next day or so.
Holmes will be used in camp to help ease the load of veteran kicker Joe
Nedney.

36-25 victory over the Calgary Stampeders in front of over 20,000 fans.
Kwame Cavil got 7 receptions for 52 yards.
Whilst on the opposition side ... Claymore QB
Marcus Crandall completed 13-of-16 passes for 221 yards
and 2 TDS before going off with a left hamstring injury late in the 2nd
quarter.

Curtis Head's 47-yard field goal as time expired gave the B.C. Lions a
28-27 victory over
Montreal ... spoiling the Grey Cup Champions' home
opener.
Montreal drew a sell-out crowd of over 20,000.
The Alouettes entered with a 3-0 record and cruised to a 20-7 lead
early in the second half ... the rest is history.

year.
