SFFA SEASON - 2007

Jimmy was part of the Senior Squad which finished Champions in the West / Central Conference.
In addition to that they finished Runners-Up at Fair Play Bowl II and 3rd Place at SFFA Finals Day.

JIMMY MAKES RESERVE LIST WITH GB LIONS SQUAD - July 2007

Jimmy was one of two Bronco Senior Players to make the 'Reserve List' to represent Great Britain
at the 2007 European Championships in Italy (September).
GB finished in 7th Place beating Germany (Group) and Spain (7th / 8th Place Play-Off).
Well done Jimmy !

JIMMY CLOSES IN ON GB LIONS SQUAD PLACE - April 2007

Jimmy was one of three Bronco Senior Players to be invited to the final GB Lions trial at the end of June.
If successful in Leicester, Jimmy will represent Great Britain
at the 2007 European Championships in Italy.

JIMMY CAN'T STOP ENGLISH LOSS - 31st March 2007

Jimmy was one of six Bronco Senior Players who played against England on Saturday.
Jimmy scored a TD but unfortunately Team Scotland still narrowly lost 26-25.
Some lucky players from this fixture stand a chance of representing the GB Lions
at the 2007 European Championships.

Following the SDS Trial at Airdrie ...
Jimmy was one of five Bronco Senior Players to be included in this years Scotland Roster.
The successful candidates are now invited to play against England
next Saturday the 31st March.

JIMMY PICKED FOR 2006 SFFA SENIOR MVP BOWL - 27th October 2006

Jimmy is one of four Broncos invited to
take part in a 'Pro Bowl' style match in November.

As Senior Coach, Jimmy helped the Broncos become Scottish League Runners-Up
at this months Finals Day.

Jimmy was part of the Senior Squad which won the Claymores 10th Anniversary World Bowl '96 Trophy,
finished Runners-Up in the SFFA North/East Conference and Runners-Up in the Fair Play Trophy.
In addition to that they finished Runners-Up in the SFFA Scottish League.

Two-thirds of the current Scotland Squad is now made up of Broncos.

BRONCOS FINISH RUNNERS-UP IN 2005 SFFA CONFERENCE - September 2005

As Senior Coach and Player, Jimmy helped guide the Broncos to a 9-1 Season ...
finishing 2nd behind the Kirkcaldy Bulls.
The Broncos managed a 1-1 record against the Bulls but the points difference was too much to catch.

Jimmy received a Scroll Award for his valuable contribution to Scottish Flag Football
in his current role as Scotland's Trainer.

RETAINS HIS SDS COACHING JOB FOR THE 2005 SEASON - March 2005

Jimmy continues his involvement as one of the Coaches of the Scotland Development Flag Squad.
Jimmy will help guide the Scotland Squad through an England International in April
and then a trip to France to take part in the Flag Oceane International Competition in June.

HELP COACH THE SCOTTISH TEAM IN FRANCE - 29th / 30th May 2004

Jimmy was Assistant Coach to the 12 Man Scottish Squad who competed at the Flag Oceane International Competition in Le Havre, France.
After winning 2 and losing 2 on Saturday the Scots narrowly missed out on playing the rest of their Sunday games in the Top Section. On the Sunday the team played 5 games ... winning all five.
The Scots finished 11th out of 20 teams ... with a record of 7-2.

SELECTED AS ASSISTANT COACH FOR THE SDS - February 2004

Jimmy has been appointed Assistant Coach of the Scotland Development Flag Squad.
Jimmy was involved in part of the SDS Selection Process to pick a 12 Man Scotland Roster
to compete at the Flag Oceane International Competition
in Le Havre, France on the 29th / 30th May 2004.

Jimmy was part of the Senior Squad which won the
Raptors' Thanksgiving Day Bowl and were
Runners-Up in the SFFA Conference League and the Claymores NFLE Kick-Off Classic.
The Broncos also won the Inverness Bowl II in Inverness.

NATIONAL TRAINER INVITED TO WORK WITH CLAYMORES - 18th May 2003

As National Trainer Jimmy Thomson spent last week working alongside the
Scottish Claymores Trainer in preparation for the Rhein Fire game.
This marvellous opportunity allowed Jimmy to further broaden and deepen his knowledge of sports injuries and how to deal with these as effectively as possible.

SCOTLAND DEVELOPMENT SQUAD TRAINING CALL-UP - 2003

Following on from working with the Scotland Squad in 2002,
Jimmy Thomson has again been asked to participate in the re-structured SDS for the 2003 Season.
As National Trainer, Jimmy will be responsible for
all aspects of training, fitness and well-being of all the SDS Squads.

BRONCOS FINISH LAST IN 2001/2002 SFFA CONFERENCE - September 2002

As Senior Coach and Player, Jimmy helped guide the Broncos to a 1-4 Season ...
finishing 4th behind the Stampede, Weagies and Wolves.
The Broncos only win was against the League Champions (Stampede).

SCOTLAND CALL-UP - 3rd August 2002

Following a successful year with the Broncos, Jimmy has been asked to assist the Scotland Junior Squad for 2002/2003 Season. Jimmy will be responsible for all aspects of training, fitness and well-being of all the Junior Squad members. His first task will be to assist Head Coach, Charlie Ewing, get the team ready for their first game against Team Great Britain.

SFFA SEASON - 2001 / 2002

Jimmy was part of the Senior Squad which finished in
3rd Place at the Claymores NFL Kick-Off Weekend.
