Full Time 48-12 to the Tigers (H/T 28-0 Tigers)
Paul Menzies 2 TDs
The Broncos form against their bogey team, the Glasgow
Tigers, continued on Saturday.
With the move of so many players from Cadet to Junior, there was no
surprise that the Bronco Cadets were
going to be hard pushed to win the game.
The Tigers, with four experienced Scotland players in their squad
jumped out to an early lead which the
local youngsters could do little about.
The Tigers, by half-time, had a four touchdown lead, 0-28.
However, the Broncos heads didn't go down and after half-time they
began to make the Tigers
work for their win.
Tough tackling from Daniel Yuill and Callum Findlay and better
organisation on defense gave the
offense more time on the ball.
Chloe McKenzie and Aidan Harkins came more into the game and
Kevin Woods runs began to move
the Tigers backwards.
The pressure told with Fraser Thomson connecting for two touchdowns
with Paul Menzies.
The Tigers were not going to be denied their victory however. They
managed three more touchdowns
to make the final score 12-48 in favour of the Tigers.
Paul Menzies was nominated as Broncos MVP by the Tigers Head Coach.
Coach Ewing said 'After losing narrowly against the Hornets, and
facing probably the best team in the
league, the Cadets played with lots of enthusiasm and never gave up. This was a good learning
experience'.
