BRIEF SUMMARY OF BRONCOS COMMITTEE MEETING - 26th February 2008
All the 2008 Official positions were confirmed / ratified.
The Welfare Officer is presently Jimmy Thomson but Beverely Isdale who wasn't present on the night
will be asked if she wishes to help in some capacity due to her work experience in this field.
It was agreed to take part in the Cineworld Recruitment Drive on Friday 7th March.
Fifteen lucky people who help will see Gameplan for free.
The Changing Rooms have to be used more often for important issues like form filling.
We need to think about renewing posters that are or should appear at Sport Centres and Local Schools.
A late Raffle Prize to visit Concorde will go to the highest bidder at Coach Thomson's place of work.
Coach Ewing will check with other Clubs to see what teams will be competing in the Scottish Region.
The 2008 Club Fees will have the same pricing structure as last year. Subs frozen at the 2007 levels.
Finances need to be watched carefully this year due to costs associated with travelling more in 2008.
It was agreed that the AGM and Party should be separated with some sort of Awards Night taking place a
few weeks after Finals Day and a midweek AGM Night probably taking place the first week in November.
Although the Cadet Squad has been registered for 2008 it looks unlikely that these players will see
much action as they will have to step up to Junior. If this is the case a reduced subcription will need
to be implemented to make up for their lack of competitive games.
Until we get more information from BAFL we will carry forward any discussions on holding
a tournament or fixtures until next meeting.
The next three Tuesday Committee Meetings have been pencilled in ... 1st April, 13th May and 17th June.

IMPORTANT ... MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE ! - 26th February 2008
The first Committee Meeting of 2008 took place on Tuesday @ 7:30pm at the
residence of Alison and Joe Woods.
Brief Summary of meeting will be issued in due course.

BRONCO RYAN SETS HIS SIGHTS ON THE NFL - 14th February 2008
It is strongly believed that Ryan Hunter (23) has the potential to make it as a professional in the NFL.
Ryan will be put through his paces at an exclusive training camp in Barcelona on the 20th February.
Ryan is only one of just 60 gridiron stars, selected from over 3000, taking part in the five-day assessment.
There will be four camps in total and finally a game played against an American college team which
will determine whether or not Ryan gets his place on the Practice Squad of an NFL Team.
For more information visit the Falkirk Herald Website.

EFAF DELAY RYANS EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP TRIP TO FINLAND - 12th February 2008
The European Federation of American Football (EFAF) has announced that, due to circumstances
beyond their control, the 2009 European Championships in Finland has been moved to 2010.
In light of this announcement, BAFA has confirmed that the Great Britain Lions will be participating.
Bronco Ryan Hunter is a regular in the GB Lions Squad.

FOUR BRONCOS ALL FIRED UP ABOUT PLAYING KITTED - 9th February 2008
Martyn Paterson and Scott McKenzie have decided it is time to move on to the next stage of
their American Dream by playing Kitted Football.
Both these experienced Bronco players will join two other fellow team-mates at Fife Fire ...
namely Josh Keir and his younger brother Sam Keir.
All four have represented Scotland with Martyn and Josh taking it one stage further by
representing the Great Britain Lions on foreign soil.
The Broncos Organisation is obviously sad that quality players have to move on but it is all part of the
bigger picture so that they all make the most of their potential.
Head Coach of the Fife Fire (Mark Bramwell) mentioned that although it is early days,
all four are doing well and should play similar positions to what they have been used to at Flag.
Good Luck !

LOW TURNOUT DOESN'T SPOIL THE FUN AT BRONCOS AGM PARTY - 9th February 2008
Despite the lack of players / parents it was good to see everyone enjoy the free food / drink,
scratch their heads at some of the Quiz Questions and make off with some fantastic prizes courtesy of
our Raffle Sponsors. The Broncos would like to thank all those organisations who have helped to
make this yet another succesful evening ... over £100 was raised on the night !

BRIEF SUMMARY OF AGM HELD AT DALGRAIN HALL - 9th February 2008
The formal part of proceedings saw Sandra McKenzie and Doreen Halbert step down
but were replaced with three new Committee Members ...
Joe Woods (Treasurer), David Ewing and Beverley Isdale.
The Broncos will need to appoint a Welfare Officer as part of the new rules dictated by
our new Governing Body (BAFA) who takes over officially from the SFFA in April 2008.
Treasurer Report - financially healthy at the moment but still major outlays to come out later this year.
We need to be more efficient at collection subs.
Head Coach Report indicated that the Club was reasonably successful last year with all three Squads
getting to the SFFA Finals Day. The Cadets were the most successful winning their Conference and
finishing Runners-Up in Scotland.
Many of our players were once again involved in the SDS / GB which again reflects well on the
Players and the Club as a whole.
With revised Age Bands in 2008 it looks like there will only be three Bronco Squads competing in 2008 ...
Junior, Youth and Senior should have enough players to see out 2008.
Cadets affected by the change will move up to Junior.
Jonathan Ewing (Juniors), Adam Donaldson (Youths) and Jimmy Thomson (seniors) will all continue
as Bronco Coaches in 2008.
Communication still seems to be an issue which needs to be addressed before the start of the season.
We need to use the changing rooms more for important business - this is more professional
and will benefit the Club.
Congratulations to Stephen Cumming being inducted into the Broncos Hall of Fame.
It is hoped to have our first Committee Meeting within the next six weeks ...
so that we can plan our assault on Season 2008.

2007 HALL OF FAME WINNER IS ... STEPHEN CUMMING ! - 9th February 2008
On Saturday at the AGM, members found out who that the 2007 Hall of Fame Inductee
was the Broncos Web Designer, Stephen Cumming.

SHAMELESS ... BRONCOS KNOW HOW TO THROW AN AGM PARTY ! - 9th February 2008
On Saturday, the Broncos will once again hold their world famous AGM Party Night.
The venue is once again the Dalgrain Hall in the Old Town, Grangemouth.
The AGM will commence at 7:30pm with the Social Event starting around 8pm.
The Broncos would like to encourage all members and their family / friends to
support our Annual FUN-raising Event.
We plan to hold a small Raffle which should raise some funds for your Club.
Adam has once again organised his Fun Quiz and Jimmy is organising the Party Games.
Free food and soft drinks will be provided (buffet-style).
Adults can bring their own refreshments.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE ON THE BRONCOS' COMMITTEE ?
We would hate to think that someone is keen but not fully aware of how to get themselves
involved with the Club.
If anyone is interested in joining the Broncos Committee you should either ...
e-mail any of the Committee or speak to any Coach at training.
