WALLDORF WANDERERS CROWNED 2008 BULL RUN CHAMPIONS
- 20th April 2008
Following a great weekend of football the Walldorf Wanderers
came out on top in the first ever Bull Run.
After 24 games of Flag American Football being played, points
difference had to be used to separate the
Mildenhall Mayhem, Kirkcaldy Bulls and Walldorf Wanderers.
All three teams finished 6-2 having beaten each other once.
Walldorf came out on top to claim the trophy.
Four Bronco Senior players (Jimmy Thomson, Dave Mooney Snr,
Paul Jeffreys and Adam Donaldson)
were part of the Scotland Select Team
which finished last (0-6) ...

YOUNG BRONCOS LEARN HARD LESSON UP NORTH - 19th April 2008
On Saturday the Broncos (Cadet / Junior Squad) travelled North
to play a series of friendlies
against the
Highland Wildcats.
The Broncos unfortunately lost all three games.
Although the Broncos will obviously feel disappointed it is better to
get an idea now of what they
will be facing in the BAFL Season ahead ...
so adjustments can be made.

INVERNESS HOPE TO HOST FIRST JUNIOR EVENT OF THE YEAR
- 19th April 2008
Robbie Paulin (Inverness Blitz) is keen to host something
this weekend.
Inverness is trying to put in for a tournament but if it's too short
notice and it doesn't happen
he has invited us up for some friendlies instead.
This invite will be good experience for our players.
Robbie suggested that there may be a barbecue and that we could
make a day of it.
The invite is only for our Junior team plus our few cadets.
This opportunity is the same day as The Bull Run so we will need to
check availability of drivers.
Contact
Coach Ewing and
Coach Donaldson to offer your driving services.

COACH THOMSON CONCERNED ABOUT LACK OF REGULAR SENIORS
- 2nd April 2008
Coach Thomson as we all know would like to play Flag Football for the
Broncos until he
catches up with the ever-young Dave Mooney Snr.
Therefore it is disappointing to hear that numbers are also dwindling
at our Senior level and
Jimmy is considering registering for the
Steelers if he can't get more commitment from previous
Senior Squad Members for the 2008 BAFL Season.
The first competitive games are at
The Bull Run in just over two
weeks (19th/20th April) and
with the first league game scheduled for 11th May away to Hornets it
is time
for the players
to stand up and be counted.
All interested players should contact
Coach Thomson immediately to alleviate his personal fear /
doubts.
